Dr. Ratan Chaudhuri’s journey began with a simple conviction: real skin health solutions must be built on real science, not marketing promises. Born and educated in India, his scientific path led him to Germany, Switzerland, and the United States, where decades of academic and industrial research shaped his vision. In 2006, he founded Sytheon to close the gap between cosmetic claims and biological reality — guided by the belief that success comes not from following the crowd, but from solving real problems with science and integrity.
His work has delivered landmark innovations including Sytenol® A (Bakuchiol), which established bakuchiol as a global category through clinically validated performance beyond retinol-like, defining a broader biological framework, and Synoxyl® AZ (Acetyl Zingerone), a next-generation longevity platform engaging the AMPK–Nrf2 axis to coordinate multiple interconnected pathways in skin biology, Synoxyl® MAZ, a category-defining platform for hair protection and multiple clinically validated platforms addressing aging, inflammation, and barrier dysfunction.
